What inspired you to become a Tickmill Introducing Broker?

The inspiration came after attending a seminar hosted by Tickmill. The great value of the information and education received at the event and the legitimacy of the company were also key motivators to become an Introducing Broker.

What is the biggest challenge of being an IB? How do you deal with it?

Hosting our first professional seminar was a challenge. We overcame this challenge by working as a team to achieve the best possible outcome

In your opinion, what makes an IB successful?

Working with a legit broker that is regulated and licensed, good work ethics and influence and having a unique approach to marketing and a good relationship with the broker as a partner.

Being consistent was our key factor in securing the first place in the contest

What strategy did you follow to keep your clients engaged during the contest?

We have hosted our own in-house prize-winning competition to keep our clients engaged and trading actively.

Winning this contest will help us further invest in our business infrastructure and grow exponentially.

What did you enjoy the most about the contest?

We enjoyed competing against other Introducing Brokers in our region and proud to represent South Africa internationally.

What inspired you to become a Tickmill Introducing Broker?

Tickmill is a broker which I have known for a long time and has a good reputation, trustworthiness and can be relied on and does not manipulate traders’ performance when they trade.

What do you enjoy the most about our Introducing Broker program?

Rebate payments are always received automatically every week in a consitstent and timely manner.

What is the biggest challenge of being an IB? How do you deal with it?

Client deposits come in and out, what I always do is educate clients about the real world of trading and not be easily tempted by the rise of money games under the guise of forex that offer "passive income".

In your opinion, what makes an IB successful?

Consistency in the efforts to build a network, good two-way communication between IBs and clients, supporting clients well after they join the broker.

What do you believe was the key factor in securing the 1st place in the contest?

Because this is an Olympic contest, from the beginning I developed a winning mentality and I emphasize that I will definitely win the first place. Apart from this, teamwork is the most decisive factor; I know that I cannot win without my team and I am nothing without them.

What strategy did you follow to keep your clients engaged during the contest?

We used a scalping strategy, so open positions are quite active and the number of lots traded is quite large.

In what ways has the contest helped you to further develop your IB business?

Reward. I pretty much entered similar contests from various other brokers. However, the prizes offered by Tickmill are second to none.

What did you enjoy the most about the contest?

Transparency. I can update my ranking every day through the Tickmill IB portal. And this can be done at any time, I can find out what position I am in, how many points I have to chase, and how to maintain my position so that it is not taken over by other participants.

Tips

What advice would you give to new IBs?

IBs must be patient, consistent and diligent when developing their network. Don't just be selfish and simply consider personal gain; if our clients can make a profit in trading, of course they will continue to follow us. However, whatever business we are in, the method is always the same, we must always provide the best quality service.

The trading conditions and security that Tickmill offered for my own trading is what inspired me to become more than just an IB client.

What do you enjoy the most about our Introducing Broker program?

The great relationship I have with the Tickmill team and the interest of the broker’s team in the sustainable growth of the partnership.

What is the biggest challenge of being an IB? How do you deal with it?

Our biggest challenge is to show traders and investors the importance of the broker in their results within the market. In my opinion, the best way to deal with this is to transparently compare different brokers and always lead by example. All my students and followers know that I only recommend products and services that I actually use, and Tickmill is one of those services.

In your opinion, what makes an IB successful?

Transparency and honesty. Before becoming an IB or Influencer, I was a trader and investor, so my number 1 rule is to only talk about the products and services that I use (or have used) and always keep the “skin in the game“. If I'm talking about Tickmill today it's because I'm also operating through it and if tomorrow that changes, I don't have any concerns about speaking openly about my motives to my students and followers so they can be sure that there is no conflict of interest in the my recommendations.

What do you believe was the key factor in securing the 1st place in the contest?

Transparency and consistency. Transparency because I have the “skin in the game“ and all my students and followers know that Tickmill is a broker which I am also using for my own operations, in addition I created videos and content showing the pros and cons of the broker.

Consistency because I’ve been making a continuous effort to spread the word about the broker and educate those looking for an alternative option in the market.

What strategy did you follow to keep your clients engaged during the contest?

We focus on educational videos on Youtube. We are traders (and not influencers) and basically what we did was to show the truth, that Tickmill is one of the brokers I am using for my trades and that it has several advantages over other brokers.

In what ways has the contest helped you to further develop your IB business?

In my opinion, the contest served as the final proof that honesty and transparency pay off in the long  term. When you are a trader, before becoming an IB, and honesty and transparency are the pillars of your recommendations in terms of products/services, you considerably increase your chances of success in the long term.

What did you enjoy the most about the contest?

The possibility to compare our performance with other players in the market around the world and in my region. For me, this is very important because it shows what our results are compared to others and gives us a guide where we can improve.

What advice would you give to new IBs?

Be honest, transparent and work hard thinking about the Long term. With more than 10 years on Youtube I can say with certainty that this is the path to success. Social networks and the internet sell a false idea that anything goes for success, even “fake until you make it“, but this is certainly not the path to success in the long term. Be honest, share with your followers services, products and strategies that you actually use (or have used), don't let short-term results influence your character and judgment of what is right or wrong, and maintain consistency because sooner or later late you get there.
